J. Down Contracting is a family owned business located in central Somerset. Set up in 2012 by Jack, who comes from a farming back ground, the company quickly became known for giving quality service as well as using high quality materials. Chestnut posts were introduced from the start and we now supply many organisations such as Natural England, The RSPB, Somerset Wildlife Trust and The National Trust to name a few, as well as many local farmers and contractors. We offer a range of services including fencing, ground works, flail mowing, hedge cutting, tractor and loader work as well as haulage.
